A Week Post-CoVid

Friday night was my first day back to work after I was off for two weeks due to CoVid. But instead of working on my workplace, I kind of got “deployed” to another facility to help with the outbreak. Well, it’s fine because it’s been a while since the last time I picked up a shift there. Though I will definitely feel stupid again because they have different rotation from what I was used to. As promised LOL I’m trying to write or update weekly. I was planning to write last Saturday but we got busy the past few days so I waited until it’s finally my “me time”. Hmm, where to start?

Saturday, November 20th 2021. This was the day I was finally off isolation. I was free! The very first thing I did? LAUNDRY. I had a 1050H appointment for my third dose (finally) so I planned to wake up early. I woke up at 0600H as soon as Bullet came upstairs to poop and sniffed outside my door. Had to give him my first hug. Did the laundry, opened my room window, sprayed disinfectant everywhere, threw my garbage and threw and washed everything that I touched in the bathroom. Though my mom detailed-clean it that afternoon. Then I bathed Bullet because he stink so bad. I took a nap, took a shower and picked up my fiancé for my appointment; we brought Bullet with us because we both missed him so much. Even though Public Health cleared me already, I was hesitant to come out in public because it feels like I was still infectious. I felt dirty LOL. After the vaccine (I honestly didn’t stay for 15 minutes just because I knew that I won’t have any reaction to it) we picked up our lunch then headed back home. Then, le fiancé went to work. I don’t know wether it’s due to CoVid’s effect or if it’s the third dose of the CoVid vaccine, or if it’s because I woke up really early, but I was really tired and sleepy. While taking a nap, I noticed that I was breathing faster and felt like there’s a pressure on my chest. So far, it didn’t happen again. Phew.

Sunday, November 21st 2021. What did I do this day? I think I slept the whole day LOL My arm was sore as well as my legs and thighs—the sore arm was from the vaccine whilst the thighs and legs were from bathing Bullet on Saturday. I really didn’t do much this day except sleep. My usual energy hasn’t come back yet.

Monday, November 22nd 2021. Ah yes, finally, the day we went to shop for our house. Our first stop, Bath and Body Works LOL. Well, I was only wanting to buy the anti-bacterial spray because I find it convenient to use then we end up buying LOADS of hand soap, wallflower scents, and more hand sanitizers. Then, we went to IKEA to check if they have any tableware sets that we both like. Now, that was the moment I realized that what people say: you and your partner will argue because of the smallest and silliest thing like the colour of the bathroom rug or the curtains. Since we have totally different tastes with everything—we settled with white. Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond where everything were more expensive LOL We agreed we’ll set another time for home shopping as we did lots of adulting for the day.

Tuesday, November 23rd. We had a virtual meeting with our videographer and photographer for our pre-nup. It was productive—kinda looking forward to it and at the same time not because it’ll be too cold LOL I already bought a dress then I saw a picture in Pinterest which showed a girl wearing a red cape. I texted my fiancé right away that I WANT IT. Well, the cape was expensive tho, but I read a lot of good reviews. So I’m thinking if I should buy it or not. Whatchu think? Then, after the meeting we went to Brandon to buy more house stuff. I really thought our next shopping date will be on December 10th, I guess he changed his mind. So, this time we were looking for glassware. There were pretty ones but he didn’t liked it mainly because the glass was “too thin” and that he was worried he’ll break it while washing the dishes. We end up buying bulk glasswares (instead of the boxed set of glasswares). Which to me were just the same. Since we bought it in bulk, he put it on the cart with no protection whatsoever. I had mini anxiety attack while he was pushing the cart because it felt like the glass would break at any given time. According to him: “if it breaks, it’ll break” I’m like, we just wasted money if that ever happens. Anyway, I did tell him about how all the things in the house were all the things he wanted and that we didn’t even buy anything that I liked. It wasn’t an argument, more like a conversation. Anyway, next!

Wednesday, November 24th. Bullet had an appointment at 1330H It was his last puppy shot YEY!! But for the first time too, this vet didn’t give him any treats and told me and another staff to hold Bullet. I’m like WTF the other vet just gave Bullet a treat and she didn’t had to ask others to hold him. It was very weird for me. And prolly kind of traumatic for my puppy 🥺 Bullet gained 9lbs (from 14lbs to 23lbs). What else did I do this day? I think that’s it!

Thursday, November 25th. I had two appointments this day. First appointment: touch-up of my highlights and a haircut. I had to leave town at 0800 I don’t know why I had to book an early one. Sheesuz. Then at 1400H I went to see my family doctor since he had to fill out a form for work because I missed 2 weeks of work. Then I found out while I was waiting in the clinic that we didn’t have to see our family doctor for it. Jeezuz. I just learned that physicians signatures are actually expensive. He told me though that I didn’t have to pay for it when I show it to the ladies on the front desk. The lady/ward clerk kind of didn’t believe me when I told him that the doctor told me not to pay for it. Well whatevs, my fam doctor and I are close! LOK JK!

Well, that concludes my one week of post-Covid adventures. Should I write weekly? I feel like there’s really nothing going on in my life aside from work-home routine that I should right about tho. Hmm, and I don’t know what topic/s to write about. I don’t know.

Ciao! 💋
