I will be starting my full time position this weekend (aka tomorrow). I wasn’t really planning to take it as a permanent position but I applied just in case—I honestly thought that someone with a higher seniority would get it. Apparently, no one really liked to be full time. As for me, I need it in terms of saving money (for wedding and house+bills). The rotation isn’t bad but I guess it’ll be the workload that’s going to be the challenge. Hopefully it’ll work out for me, if not, then I could always suck it up LOL I mean, I could always apply for a lower EFT even if it’s a term for a change of phase or whenever I need a break.
Honestly tho, I don’t see myself doing full time once we start a family. Even though our parents are here, I still want to be present and be at home to take care of our children. I also want to be present for my husband, like cooking for him. I want to be able to be at home and do chores no matter how much I hate it. But then again, the rotation is not bad, they’re all 12 hours but I have 2-3 days off and a seven days off every 6-7 weeks. Not bad right? So we’ll see, we’ll see.
Currently, I am trying my best to translate the story/novel I wrote when I was in highschool. I realized how fuck up the storyline was LOL The sudden outburst of anger were uncalled for and I don’t even know why my main character is so fucking mad. All the time. Sheesuz!
On other note, my fiancé’s family dog, Kesha—is here with us for a “trial stay”. My fiancé, his parents and his sibs will go to Alberta this weekend and they decided not to bring their dog. Their dog is a little bit bitchy, kind of territorial, and uhm unpredictable. Yesterday, she was here to bond with Luna (my dog). It wasn’t bad but it was very tense. My dog is very vocal (aka barks a lot) but that’s her way of saying “please pet me” and “I want your attention” but she never bites. Kesha, however, is (obviously) very different. She doesn’t like it when Luna barks—she snarled at her when Luna tried to sniff her butt and when Luna tried to come close to her. Today, thank goodness, was an improvement. Luna was able to sniff her butt without any difficulty, she approached Kesha twice and Kesha didn’t even show any signs that she’d jump on Luna. Definitely a progress.
HOWEVER. For my parents, it’s a very different reaction. I’m regretting not asking my parents to stay yesterday so they’d be able to meet Kesha. They were out again today too, and I think that was a bad idea because, Kesha thought they were “intruders”/does not live in the house. She barked at them—she was ready to attack. She barked at my mom once or twice, sniffed her then she was done. My dad almost got bitten. Well, I dunno if she intended to bite but long story short: she was barking and ran towards my dad and maybe she was about to sniff him but it looked like she was about to snip my dad’s leg. It was scary. Kesha’s also the type to bark and be ready to attack when someone suddenly approached you. My dad, for example, was trying to hand me a receipt and Kesha jumped in front of me (and on top of my laptop)—barking aggressively. I’ve been telling her to stop but she just wouldn’t heed—to the point that I actually hit her lightly 🙊
Well, after the whole brouhaha, she finally settled and probably started to realize that these people she was barking at actually lives here. She’s going to warm up pretty soon *crossing fingers* and hopefully won’t have any “biting” incident for the next 7 days after tomorrow.
Stay safe! Ciao 💋
