Running Errands

Last Thursday, our jackets that we ordered came in—jackets were from our workplace. The design came out nice, and since I was evening last Thursday—I was only able to see my orders when I got home (it was a very busy shift LOL) Unfortunately, they misspelled my name on the jacket. Instead of CYDGYL they put it on as CYDGLY. I was disappointed. I kept saying I was sad to my fiancé and he told me, “you’re not sad, you’re mad and disappointed.” That made me laugh because I was actually mad but I had to calm myself since I believe they could still fix it.

So the next morning, Friday, I called to let them know about the mishap. The lady I talked to thought that I was the one who made the mistake—she sounded almost as if they would not fix it, but when I told her the situation she apologized. I came out to ran errands around 11 in the morning. I got to their shop and this cute little doggo greeted me:

I gave back the items and they told me they will give me a call back once they fixed it. Since I was already out, which normally I am not—I decided to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy. Now here’s the thing, I thought I had to call them first to let them know I will be picking it up, but my friends told me I don’t have to. So I went there, waited for a few minutes because they couldn’t not find my prescription. When I was about to pay, I pulled out my blue cross card and showed it to the cashier—it turned out that I should’ve shown it to the pharmacist because they are the ones who fix or adjust the payment LOL. OMG I felt so embarrassed—I’m just thankful that masks are mandatory nowadays so they won’t be able to recognize me next time.

The whole experience shows that I don’t get out of the house as often as I should. At least now I know how to use that darn card. Anyway, I got my items back same day, it was around 2 in the afternoon. Then, While I was cooking my lunch (yes, I eat lunch late) my fiancé messaged me if I could give him a ride because his dad used his truck and it’s almost time for him to go to work. However, as soon as I pulled over in front of their house, he told me that his dad just came home. So I went back, used the bathroom and strangely, I smelled something burning. I was like, “oh, probably from the hotdogs I was cooking earlier.” I went to the kitchen to eat and lo and behold—I didn’t turned off the stove. The hotdogs were safe because I took it off from the pan before heading out. I opened the windows, the front and back door, turned on the exhaust in the bathroom and the exhaust in the kitchen, and turned on the fan. My mom had no idea, she was upstairs. She turned on the exhaust in the bathroom upstairs because she said it’s starting to smell. I told her what caused that smell LOL.

Holy smokes! And what a day! I am glad I was able to do something productive yesterday instead of staying in bed all day. Just like what I am doing today. Maybe I should change the name of this blog to: Life of an Introvert

Ciao!
