Okay so I’ve been MIA because it’s our summer break and I told myself I will try to catch up with my reading. However, first few weeks of my break, I spent it by playing Sims4 every single day. I didn’t bother picking up shifts (aside from the reason that I’m just too lazy to do so); didn’t bother to use the treadmill so I could lose weight before my friend’s wedding (which was last July 6th). After lazing around for two weeks (or maybe 3) I decided to picked up shifts—which were all in the hospital—and oh, boy! It was busy as hell. I was kinda regretting picking up shifts there but at the same time I’m glad because the staff I worked with so far were the nice bunch and not the snob ones lol. Anyways, I still have two shifts left–July 31st and August 2nd. I’ve decided that I won’t be picking any shifts anymore either in hospital or the care home—I want to enjoy the rest of my summer break.
Okay about the book I was trying to finish—finally after one year (or so), I’m done with Eldest. Phew that was a very draggy book. I’ve started reading the third installment which is Brisngr. So far the book is okay, not as boring as Eldest. However, I dunno why but the author loves to enunciate or describe the minute detail thoroughly that I want to skip through. Maybe he wanted the readers to imagine what it looks like? Honestly, sometimes it helps but again, it can be dragging and boring. And I’ve stopped reading it again–I wanted to start a new book but I couldn’t because I want to finish the series first. Omg.
Another thing, because I’m such a lazy arse, I don’t know how I could lose weight before the school starts in September. I gained 10lbs which I was trying to lose before. Goodness, I’m about to weigh the same when we arrived here in Canada. Like I’ve been trying to walk for an hour everyday but it’s not consistent—I just recently started using our treadmill and tried to jog, last time I was able to jog for 10mins straight, then yesterday for only 5mins the rest is brisk walking for 45min (50mins in total) I really have to push myself if I wanted to lose weight instead of just complaining that I’m gaining weight.
My friends were telling me I’m not that fat but I am lol. I am trying to bring back my body 3 years ago—back when I was still actively working out and willing to go to the gym even after a busy and crazy shift. Nowadays, it’s already a battle to go out of bed.
Anyways, here’s my update for now. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
