Just when we all thought that everything’s back to normal, good ol’ CoVid hit me the second time (it was my husband’s first). Symptom started Friday morning—I was just about done with my night shift—I noticed my throat was sore and my voice was getting hoarse. I honestly thought it was just dry and it was due to weather change (hey! same excuse as CoVid 1.0) Anyway, I did a rapid swab at work and it came back negative. And since all my colleagues came in that day with hoarse voices, I really thought it was the weather. Saturday, I didn’t want to get up from bed. But, my husband and I already decided to go to the city to pick up our bed frame so I literally had to drag myself out of bed and out of the house. Still, no fever—just terrible, terrible sore throat.
Sunday, I was suspicious of this little sore throat of mine. I asked my husband to grab rapid swab test at work or anywhere before heading home. Well, not even ten or fifteen minutes later, my result came back positive. I literally waited seconds. Anyway, told the husband to swab as well and his came back positive too LOL At that point, we were kind of blaming each other LOL I told him I might’ve gotten it from him because he was complaining of sore throat last Thursday but he thought it was just the weather (yep, blame the weather). He blamed me because of work. Long story short, we were both fine. No fever for us. I had a bad sore throat that lasted for like 6 days and congested nose that I am still nursing. The husband almost got away with no symptom/s until I coughed at his face the other night and he woke up with a dry cough LOL I didn’t do that in purpose, I swear.
So according to our policy, we are to re-swab after 7 days and go back to work on the eighth day. I re-swabbed Friday and it came back negative (it was a rapid swab). The thing is, both le husband and I doesn’t work until October 28th. It was an instant 2weeks holiday for both of us, the only thing is one week was spent at home isolating LOL.
So, what’s up with you these days? I wanted to write something but I will wait for now lelz. I still have to edit the videos from our Churchill and Alberta trip.
