Finally uploaded this video. I’ve been trying to finish editing it since last year but couldn’t due to pregnancy related laziness LOL
We went to Churchill for our “honeymoon” last year of August. We actually had no idea on what to do once we land but luckily, our friend-turned-ninang served as our tour guide. She gladly booked us a tour to see the whales and to see polar bear(s). Luckily, we were able to see all three on our first day: polar bear, beluga whale, and northern lights.
Churchill is a beautiful place—it’s quiet and it seems like the people there are nice. However, we couldn’t find ourselves living there. Especially for my husband who can’t stay at home after a day of not working—he needs to be somewhere all the time and have to do something. Plus, I could barely tolerate winter here, how much more in Churchill wherein apparently, there’s still some iceberg by the sea around July—and even though it’s already August, the weather thus feel like it’s still spring.
We loved our stay in Churchill, and hopefully in the future, we could visit again. By then, I should have a better camera lens and binoculars on hand. If you happen to be interested in visiting Churchill, I would recommend going there around August so you’d be able to see the northern lights, polar bears and beluga whales (hopefully in one day)—that’s their peak season too, so you better book your flights, accommodations and tour in advance.
Enjoy the video! Ciao 💋
