Thoughts 101: Make-up

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while LOL. And I’m kinda back with another entry which is about my little trip to the city to buy my first set of make-up. FYI guys, I don’t really wear make-up — well, I do but just the basic stuff like BB cream, lip balm, lipstick/lip tint and sometimes (if I’m not late for work) eye liner and mascara. Another thing is, I don’t know how to put on eyeshadow, blush-on and uhm bronzer…? And since I bought my first set of make up, I might as well find time to learn how to do it.

I’d just do a little throwback here. When I was a kid, I used to love putting on make-up — not to myself but on my dad’s face. LOL I played with my mum’s make-up and paint my dad’s face whenever he’s taking a nap. He actually went along with it (Love you Pa! ^^) and there’s one time — he had a visitor (twas actually his co-worker) and my dad just went out of the room with make-up still on his face. Yup he didn’t really bother taking it off and yes, his co-worker tried not to laugh at him. Oh the good ol’ days haha!

Anyways, since there’s an event coming up this June — I had decided that it’s time for me to buy my own ‘girly stuff’ even though I’m totally ignorant about it. Aside from make-up, I actually purchased a hair curler last Wednesday. Maybe the next thing I’ll buy will be a hair dryer — just because it’s too hard to go out with your hair still wet during winter -_-

As you can see above, most of the things I bought are from Urban Decay. I haven’t use any of their products yet so I’m not sure how good it really is (I didn’t actually read any reviews online either lol). When I was in Sephora, I can’t decide whether to get the NAKED PALETTE 2 or 3. I showed it to my mum and she was the one who decided for me. I also bought the Eye Shadow Primer (original), liquid eyeliner (in black) and eye pencil (in Rockstar) from Urban Decay — and a Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eye (in Ample Amber) from Clinique. And yup, I forgot to buy a concealer. Boomer. Anyways, I don’t know if I’m gonna need it or not but staring at the mirror with my ‘I-just-woke-up-eyes’ I guess I’ll be needing it somehow. The Lancome and Origins are freebies (yay for freebies) that I got.

I spent $175 on those things (wew!) and I’m glad I didn’t buy any clothes or shoes because I’m gonna be broke for sure. I’m just hoping that by watching some tutorials in Youtube and by having lots of patience, I’d be able to learn a thing or two about putting on make-ups. I might as well make another entry about my other kikay or girly stuff I use some time soon. See yah!
