11.5 Hours

Hey guys! Wassup!

Well, moi is doing fine—aside from having a slight headache and wanting to sleep early (well if 12midnight is considered early). Today, I accompanied my friends in the city to buy a seaweed (and fishies) for their Biology experiment. It was raining when we left and was still raining while I’m doing this entry. I thank God for we arrived safely and was able to buy what they needed for their experiment without actually violating any traffic rules or getting lost. THANKS TO GPS. THANKS TECHNOLOGY!

We had our dinner in the food court (in the mall) since they can’t decide where to eat (they want to try the buffet but uhm, it’s a little bit expensive). Since we’re already in the mall, I decided to drop by at my favourite store: COLES bookstore. I’ve been really looking forward to buying Mitch Albom’s THE FIRST PHONE CALL FROM HEAVEN. He’s my current favourite author BTW. The very first book that I read was TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE and I fell in love right away. It’s very different from my usual collections of fantasy/pre-teen books. And when I was done reading HAVE A LITTLE FAITH—I knew right then and there, that I have to buy his books. Anyways, I also bought a notebook. And I don’t have any idea what is it for.

Yesterday, April 23rd, I went to work at 10:30-ish—an hour and a half late on what I originally scheduled myself for. Honestly? I don’t care lol! Good thing I arrived a little bit early than what I intended to do because our supervisor visited the store fifteen minutes exactly after I came in. I read the e-mail that he sent that he’ll be in our store to check some things but he didn’t mention what time. He was still there before I went to the city to attend a training meeting. But before I left, he asked me something—that if ever, he wants me to work at other store just to undergo a ‘better’ training, will I be fine with it? I told him it’s fine since he said he’d pay for my gas lol. Since I was in a hurry, I forgot to bring my reports with me and I was like 15 minutes away from the store when I realized I forgot it. To make this long story short, I was 6 minutes late for our meeting, which they don’t really mind because I had to drive for 45 minutes just to attend the meeting. The meeting lasted for an hour, I was with my mom because she wanted to exchange the pants and the shirt in to a different size but wasn’t able to.

Anyways, I also decided to upgrade my phone since I can’t wait for the new iPhone to come out (I know it’ll be released this year but I gave in to temptation. SUCKS). I dropped my mum home around 6:30 and went back to the store to do the schedule. I actually have the option to go back the next day to do the schedule but here’s the catch: IT’S MY DAY-OFF. And I’m not going to sacrifice my day-off again just to do my work. And besides, I’m not paid if I come in on my off.

So I told myself that no matter what happens, I’m going to finish my schedule before 10pm. And thank God I did. BUT, it caused me migraine and 3 hours and a half unpaid overtime, which I really don’t mind because I really wanted to do it. Sometimes, you just need to sacrifice in order to get a better outcome. I didn’t went to the store to work for free. But that will be the last time that I’ll be doing it. It’s too much -_-
